Log Walls

The log profile determines the style of horizontal interface that the wall system of your home will have. This directly refers to how the logs fit together laterally, or the method used to stack the logs on top of each other. These surfaces are typically load bearing

At Falcon Log Homes Ltd, we use the Swedish Cope System, a traditional method using hand-peeled logs, where the lateral groove is removed from the bottom side of each log, which is then filled with insulation. A check groove is cut on top of each log out of the side, to minimize cracking on the face of the log. Our logs fit tightly together, and chinking is not required.

This system provides an excellent bearing surface, as well as beauty to the overall appearance of your home.

Upon request, we can incorporate the log profile of your choice.
